Three community gyms in Southampton set to be upgraded

A trio of community gyms in Southampton are set for a major transformation.

The upgrades will take place at The Quays, Bitterne Leisure Centre, and Chamberlayne Leisure Centre.

BH Live is working in partnership with Southampton City Council to deliver the improvements.

Rob Cunningham, director of leisure and business development at BH Live, said: "We’re delighted to be partnering with Southampton City Council to modernise the gym facilities at BH Live Active leisure centres across the city."

Toqeer Kataria, councillor responsible for leisure and communities at Southampton City Council, said: "We are delighted to see this investment in our leisure facilities, which will provide residents with a modern, high-quality space to support their health and wellbeing.

"The refurbished gym reflects our ongoing commitment to improving local services and encouraging more people to stay active."

The refurbishments, delivered with support from Pulse Fitness, will be completed in phases.
