Residents in Test Valley are being warned that bin collections will change over the bank holiday weekend.

Hampshire County Council leader Nick Adams-King said there will be no collections on Monday in Test Valley because of the bank holiday.

As a result, rubbish will be picked up one day later than usual throughout next week.

That means some households will also have a Saturday collection on May 30 if their normal day is Friday.

The council has also reminded residents that it is black bin week, meaning the round is for non-recycling waste.

The council leader added: "A quick reminder that Monday is a bank holiday, so there will be no bin collections that day.

"Collections will therefore take place one day later than usual next week, including a Saturday collection on 30 May for households whose normal collection day is Friday."

Residents are being urged to check their revised collection day.
