Two Hampshire mayors have teamed up for a fundraising quiz night to support a lifesaving rescue service.

Councillor Kirsten Bradley, Mayor of Gosport, and Councillor Tina Ellis, Mayor of Fareham, took part in the Quiz at the Bay on Friday, May 22, hosted by Gary Parker.

The event helped to raise £1,021 for the Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service (GAFIRS).

Darren Taylor-Lane, community director at GAFIRS, said: "A huge thank you to Gary Parker and to everyone who came along to support us – and to Steph and Adrian Chalk and their staff at Bayside Cabin.

"Your support continues to make a real difference in helping GAFIRS save lives and educate the next generation of volunteers."

The mayors joined 'The Chain Gang' quiz team at the Bayside Cabin in support of the volunteer-run service, which operates in the Solent.
