Southampton is set to play a major role in Princess Cruises' biggest-ever European programme with dozens of sailings departing from the city in 2028.
The cruise line has announced 41 itineraries from Southampton as part of a record-breaking season featuring nearly 300 departures across Europe.
Two ships, Sky Princess and Majestic Princess, will be homeported in Southampton throughout the season, while Caribbean Princess will also operate a number of voyages from the city between late April and mid-October.
The programme includes cruises to destinations across Northern Europe, the British Isles and the Mediterranean, with sailings ranging from seven nights to more than 50 days.
Among the new itineraries is an eight-night 'circle Ireland voyage' aboard Caribbean Princess, which will depart from Southampton and call at Cork, Dublin, Belfast, Killybegs and Galway. The itinerary marks Princess Cruises' first visits to Galway and Killybegs.
Another notable addition is the 53-night 'ultimate pole-to-pole odyssey' aboard Majestic Princess, which will sail from Buenos Aires to Southampton.
The voyage includes scenic cruising in Antarctica before travelling north through South America, the Canary Islands, Morocco and Norway before arriving in the city.

Princess Cruises said Southampton remains a key gateway for UK passengers, with trips designed to offer a wide range of holiday options without the need to fly.
A seven-night Spain and France cruise aboard Sky Princess, departing Southampton on October 7, 2028, will visit La Coruna, Bilbao, Le Verdon and Cherbourg. Fares start from £769 per person.
Majestic Princess will also offer a series of British Isles cruises from Southampton, calling at ports including Cork, Dublin, Belfast, Greenock, Edinburgh and Liverpool.
The city is home to several cruise terminals and regularly welcomes some of the world's largest cruise ships, bringing thousands of passengers through the port each year.
Princess Cruises' 2028 European programme is now on sale, with the company offering early booking discounts for passengers who reserve their place before July 14.
