A community day brought together tenants and residents for housing support and family activities.

Held in Totton, the event took place on Friday, May 29, and was organised by New Forest District Council’s (NFDC) Tenant Engagement and Housing teams.

It aimed to support residents with housing advice, tenancy support, and small repairs for housing tenants, while also offering activities for children.

Steve Davies, councillor responsible for housing, said: "Attending this event reminded me of the huge value of meeting with tenants and residents.

"It’s so important we bring services directly into local communities and make it easier for our tenants to access advice and support.

"And by meeting people in their own communities, we can provide earlier help and better targeted advice."

The event is part of NFDC’s ongoing programme of community days across the district, designed to make council services more accessible.

The next event will take place on Saturday, July 25, at the Nedderman Centre in New Milton.
