A new employment pathway has opened, offering fresh opportunities for Hampshire residents to build careers.
Hampshire County Council is behind the Connect to Work scheme, designed for people with social care needs, including learning and physical disabilities, as well as mental health conditions.
Kirsty North, the council’s deputy leader and councillor responsible for universal services, said: "This dedicated gateway into Connect to Work is all about ensuring that people with social care needs can access the right support to move into and succeed in employment."

People supported by local authorities, charities, or community groups are also eligible.
Council staff are encouraging referrals for those ready to take the next step.
Cllr North said: "This is a real opportunity for some of our residents who may have faced barriers to work in the past to build confidence, develop skills and move into meaningful, long-term work with ongoing support."
The programme is fully funded, and the specialist Social Care element is being delivered in partnership with employment charity Shaw Trust.
