Two Southampton publicans have been recognised for their actions to protect a vulnerable woman who sought help late one evening.
Calum Jameson and Ewelina Fesnak, who run the Dog & Duck on Shirley Road, have received a National Pubwatch Bravery and Meritorious Conduct Award for their care and intervention.
The honours were presented at the National Pubwatch Safer Night Time Economy Awards in London on May 12.
The incident took place in February, when a woman with mental health challenges entered the pub after becoming anxious and confused in an unfamiliar area.

Mr Jameson and Ms Fesnak immediately recognised that she needed support.
They seated her, provided a blanket and a heater, and offered her hot drinks and a meal.
The pair stayed with her until an ambulance arrived, which was well after midnight.
She was later taken to Southampton Hospital before being transferred to a specialist mental health facility in Reading.
Mr Jameson and Ms Fesnak said: "It was a huge surprise to be recognised for something every human should in looking after those in need and vulnerable.
"We are in a public facing position and we have to treat everyone with the same care but some cases they need a little extra help.
"We didn’t expect to have anything like this award as this should be considered normal to help someone in need."
National Pubwatch chair Steve Baker OBE praised their compassion.
Mr Baker said: "It is a real privilege to recognise Calum and Ewelina for protecting this vulnerable woman.
"They showed tremendous care and professionalism, intervening to help support an individual when in need."
