MSC Cruises is bringing a new wave of luxury wellness experiences to Southampton as the cruise line unveils an ambitious fleetwide overhaul of its spa and beauty treatments.
The new-look MSC Aurea Spa, rolling out across the fleet throughout 2026, will transform traditional onboard spas into comprehensive wellness destinations, giving Southampton cruise passengers access to advanced beauty treatments, medical wellness services, and cutting-edge skincare technology while at sea.
The announcement is particularly significant for Southampton, which remains MSC Cruises' UK home port.
MSC Virtuosa, one of the UK's largest cruise ships, is based in Southampton for much of the 2026 season, sailing regularly to destinations including the Norwegian Fjords, Iceland, Northern Europe, Spain, Portugal and the Mediterranean.
MSC Poesia has also operated winter sailings from the port, while MSC Preziosa is scheduled to offer Southampton departures later this year.
Among the headline additions are AI-powered skin analysis consultations, professional teeth whitening, advanced hydro-microdermabrasion treatments and a new Japanese Head Spa ritual inspired by traditional Japanese wellness practices.
Guests will also be able to enjoy restorative wellness teas, enhanced men's grooming services, and personalised skincare programmes.
Selected ships will additionally introduce medical wellness treatments, including IV therapy, aesthetic injectables and dermal fillers administered by licensed professionals, marking a significant expansion of wellness services available at sea.
MSC Cruises says the investment reflects growing demand from travellers seeking holidays that improve both physical and mental wellbeing.

Passengers booking spa experiences from summer 2026 will also receive an exclusive wellness gift pouch containing a selection of premium products and essentials.
