Staff at a Southampton infant school have said they "could not be prouder" after receiving glowing feedback from Ofsted inspectors.
Townhill Infant School on Benhams Road achieved a "strong standard" in the Ofsted categories of early years, leadership and governance and personal development and wellbeing,
It met the expected standard in all other categories.
Headteacher Beverly Corbin said: "We are all incredibly proud of our recent OFSTED report which reflects our amazing children, particularly their strong character, resilience, high levels of confidence, self-belief and independence.
"All the staff at our school place the children at the heart of everything we do, and this is outlined in the comment made in the report.
"We are also delighted with the strong judgements in personal development and well-being, early years, and leadership and governance, which underpins the expected judgements in the other areas.
"I could not be prouder of our children and staff."

The Ofsted report said: "Pupils experience a warm and welcoming school where they feel valued and included.
"From the moment pupils arrive, calm routines and friendly faces help them settle quickly.
"Staff know pupils well and build warm, trusting relationships. Pupils feel safe and confident. They know who to talk to if they have a worry and trust that adults will listen and help.
"Pupils benefit from a personalised approach to help them succeed, regardless of their starting points or circumstances.
"No stone is left unturned to help pupils feel that they belong."
Inspectors also commended school leaders for their clear understanding of the school’s strengths and areas for improvement, describing leadership at all levels as "highly effective."
The report said: " "Leaders know the school extremely well.
"They are clear about its strengths, understand why these have been secured and identify precisely where further improvement is needed.
"Leaders at all levels, including governance, are highly effective and united in their ambition to help all pupils succeed."
The personal development programme was described as "extensive and carefully designed," with inspectors noting that it makes "a strong, demonstrable difference to pupils’ lives."
