A Hampshire couple have welcomed twin girls after a heartfelt fertility journey.
Hads, 30, and Magenta, 31, of Hedge End, began their parenting journey in January 2024, leading to the birth of twin daughters Noa and Aria through reciprocal IVF at TFP Wessex Fertility.
Their experience highlights the barriers same-sex couples face in accessing fertility care, including complex and inconsistent NHS funding across the UK.
Hads said: "I always felt as though it would have been nice if it happened, but I’d just never met anyone I could picture myself doing that with."

The couple first met on a Facebook forum in 2021 and soon began discussing the possibility of starting a family.
Workplace fertility benefits through Hads’ employer helped them overcome the financial burdens that often delay or prevent treatment for other couples.
They said: "Because we knew the financials were taken care of, it meant we could be in control of our own timeline.
"I think one of the reasons I didn’t necessarily feel any urgency to start a family is because I knew this benefit was available."
After researching clinics, they chose TFP Wessex Fertility, where they decided on reciprocal IVF, using Hads’ eggs and Magenta carrying the pregnancy.
Magenta said: "I went down a bit of a rabbit hole doing research, not just looking at Google reviews but also reviews of people’s experiences on Reddit.
"And what always stood out was how well people were being looked after [at TFP Wessex Fertility]."

A round of IVF was planned, but limited donor availability due to a three-month treatment window narrowed their options.
The couple began treatment just days apart in February 2024.
Magenta said: "We were both quite nervous when it came to the egg retrieval procedure, but the team were more than happy to listen to what would make us most comfortable and allowed for both of us to be in the theatre with each other during the collection so we didn’t have to go through it alone."
23 eggs were collected from Hads and eight from Magenta, resulting in 10 high-quality embryos from Hads and five mixed-quality embryos from Magenta.
In September 2025, Hads and Magenta welcomed Noa and Aria at 35 weeks.
