A popular cruise ship has becomes the first Disney ship to be homeported in Southampton.
The move will see thousands of passengers begin their holidays from Southampton as the 339-metre ship operates a series of European trips from the port.
The programme includes sailings to destinations such as the Norwegian Fjords, the Netherlands, Spain and the Mediterranean.
Disney Dream can welcome around 4,000 passengers at maximum capacity and carries around 1,450 crew members.
Launched in 2011, the ship was designed around Disney’s mix of entertainment, themed dining and family experiences.
On board are three main rotational dining restaurants: Animator’s Palate, Enchanted Garden and Royal Palace, where guests move between venues while their serving team follows them throughout their cruise.
Passengers can also enjoy speciality dining at Palo and Remy, alongside casual food outlets, cafés and bars.
The ship features 1,250 staterooms, ranging from inside cabins with Disney’s “virtual porthole” technology to ocean-view rooms, balcony cabins and luxury concierge suites.

Entertainment includes Broadway-style productions in the Walt Disney Theatre, cinemas, children’s clubs and the AquaDuck water coaster attraction.
The Southampton season gives families the chance to board Disney Dream without travelling abroad to begin their cruise.
Its itineraries will take passengers across northern Europe, with Norwegian Fjords sailings visiting ports including Rotterdam, Måløy, Ålesund and Bergen, while other voyages head towards southern Europe.
The arrival of Disney Dream adds another global cruise company to the port, alongside operators such as Cunard, P&O Cruises, Royal Caribbean and MSC.
The ship’s distinctive black hull, twin red funnels and Disney branding make it stand out from other cruise liners docked at the port.
Disney Dream arrived in Southampton in May for the start of Disney Cruise Line’s first dedicated homeport season at the city’s port.
Since May, thousands of passengers have boarded the ship for voyages across Europe.
This ship is next due to dock in Southampton on August 10.
