A Southampton man has been charged with drug offences after police seized more than £6,000 in cash and uncovered messages allegedly linking him to the sale of heroin.
Officers were carrying out patrols on Wednesday when they stopped a group of men leaving an address in Oxford Street.
Searches of those involved led to police recovering cash, several mobile phones and messages allegedly showing the supply and sale of heroin with an estimated street value of more than £15,000, police said.

Ibraima Korkabah, 31, of Ocean Way, Southampton, was charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin, as well as acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.
He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court and has been remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance at Southampton Crown Court on September 9.
Three others, a 17-year-old boy from Liverpool, a 22-year-old Southampton man and a 24-year-old man from Leeds, have been bailed while enquiries continue.
