A two-year-old girl who was separated from her family in the city centre yesterday afternoon has been taken into police care and her family has been found.
Police officers were called at 3.25pm after the child was located in Houndwell Park off Palmerston Road.
The force released an appeal late last night for anybody who may recognise the child from a description, or know one to be missing, to get in touch.

In a post this morning police confirmed that the girl's family has been identified, and thanked contributors for sharing and engaging with the search.
It said: "You may have seen our appeal last night for the young child located in Southampton.
"We ensured she was safe and being looked after, and we now know who she is and have identified her family."
Police previously said they had conducted "numerous enquiries" but were unable to identify the girl before launching the appeal.
They added this morning: "While we know you will want more information, the key purpose for us sharing the details last night was so we could identify her and we will not be sharing any more details about her personal situation.
"We want to thank you all for caring, and for sharing our post last night."
Update: This story has been updated after Hampshire police confirmed the incorrect age of the child was provided to the public.
