Hampshire glamour girl Lucy Pinder tonight became the first housemate evicted from Celebrity Big Brother.

Bookmakers slashed the odds on the 25-year-old from Winchester being voted out after she failed her part of the house shopping task.

Reacting to the announcement on live TV Pinder said: "Oh thank God. I'm so happy. I'm just so glad I'm going home."

And she joked: "Can I have my (appearance) money transfered in this evening please so I can go shopping tomorrow."

Pinder faced the public vote alongside Ulrika Jonsson, whose duet with actor Verne Troyer proved a surprise hit on the show's website.

Pinder declared her wish to leave the Big Brother house today after being driven to distraction by Coolio's incessant rapping.

Jonsson found her sobbing in the toilet having left the press pen in tears. Pinder told her: ''I'm just really tired. I really want to go home tomorrow."

After the announcement, Pinder and Jonsson embraced and Jonsson burst into tears.

Pinder promised: ''I'll see you all again.''

She received 57 per cent of the total votes cast by the public.

As part of the shopping task, Big Brother set Jonsson and Troyer the challenge of performing Lionel Ritchie and Diana Ross' classic Endless Love for the housemates, and getting 10,000 views of the video.

Despite the pair completely murdering the song, the video proved a huge hit - 81,483 by the end of the challenge at 11pm and more than 100,000 by this afternoon.

Ladbrokes made Pinder 4-11 for the chop, with Jonsson at 2-1.

Discussing the eviction in the smoking room, Terry Christian and Coolio agreed Jonsson seemed to be safe.

''She's staying isn't she?'' Christian said.

''I'm sure she's more popular than Lucy. She's been on TV all these years.'' said Coolio.

''And 81,000 hits on the website,'' said Terry, ''and she's funny. And she's funny when she gets annoyed.''

Meanwhile, the women in the house were unhappy with the meagre rations they were given after failing the shopping task.

Their food budget was cut to £1 a day, and the lunchboxes with ready-made sandwiches did not impress.

''I could have done with some cornflakes this morning...'' said Tina.

''I don't eat them sandwiches,'' said Mutya, about her lunchbox.

''They are the most tasteless sandwiches,'' agreed Tina.

''That pickled egg was just wrong, said Michelle.

''I was hopeful it was a boiled egg,'' nodded Ulrika.

''It was too tangy,'' continued Michelle.
