BULBS planted in a Hampshire park have raised more than £800 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The bulbs were planted in Woodside Park, Pennington, near Lymington, in memory of loved ones and have now turned into daffodils, transforming the area into a sea of yellow.

Each person who planted a bulb made a donation to Marie Curie.

The money will enable the charity to provide terminally ill people with high quality nursing care in their own home.

The Rev Peter Salisbury, vicar of All Saints Church, Lymington, performed a Blessing of the Bulbs ceremony in the park.
