A DRIVER has been arrested after a man was left with serious injuries following a collision with a car in Southampton.

Police arrested the male driver after the incident in Warburton Road, Thornhill, yesterday which left the pedestrian with a severely broken leg.

A police spokesman said: “A male has been arrested and is currently in police custody following an incident where a male was hit by a vehicle receiving serious injuries.

“The injured male has been taken to Southampton General Hospital and has undergone extensive surgery. His condition is now described as stable.”

Then incident happened around 8.30pm and police are looking for anyone with more information to come forward.
