IT’S not every day you set off on a 300-mile cycle from London to Paris.
But that is what five cycle-mad friends from Hampshire are doing in September in aid of The Rose Road Association.
The fundraisers will endure saddle sores, aching leg muscles and steep country hills during their four-day trip through English villages and famous Word War I battlefields in France.
Daily Echo reporter Ashley Bolton will join Laurence Dunn, Philip Baker, Bruce Elkins and Andy Naylor for the event as they try to raise more than £8,000 for the charity.
