£150,000 facelift for pool
WORK has started on the £150,000 refurbishment of a Southampton leisure facility.
The 35-year-old Shirley Swimming Pool building, in Kentish Road, is to be fitted with new lockers, cubicles, floors and ceilings over the next four weeks.
Owner Dave Perry said: “The roof is already off and there is a new one on the way. The pools and plant room are in great shape already and the new changing rooms will be ready when we open on September 1.”
