A PILOT project aimed at tackling under-age drinking in a Hampshire town could be rolled out to other parts of the country.

The Start Tackling Alcohol Responsibly (STAR) scheme has been running in Eastleigh and surrounding communities for two years.

Researchers at the University of Winchester are now assessing the impact of the scheme.

Mary Amos, of Eastleigh Borough Council, said: “The university’s evaluation will be essential in helping us learn about what works.”
