ON the eve of the most important UK motorcycle show of the year, final preparations are in hand for BMW Motorrad to stun the crowds.

This year’s Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the NEC is sure to provide entertainment for any motorcycle enthusiast.

An exhilarating mix of manufacturer’s bike displays, clothing and accessory exhibitors, and live action entertainment awaits.

Running from this Friday to Sunday December 6, the show’s star attraction will surely be the all new and much anticipated S 1000 RR – the first true supersport bike from BMW Motorrad!

Six of these will be on display including a WSB team racer, a show bike in Motorsport colours with HP carbon fibre parts, and four production bikes for people to sit on and try for size.

The road production version of the S 1000 RR, is scheduled to go on sale early in the new year.

BMW Motorrad will also be unveiling a host of new models including the R 1200 RT Tourer and the R 1200 GS and GS Adventure, all of which have been uprated with a DOHC version of the boxer twin engine.

In addition the R 1200 RT Tourer gains a new style sleeker fairing, new switches and controls, and the ESA II version of optional Electronic Suspension Adjustment.

These bikes will reach the NEC directly from the EICMA Milan show where they have made their world premiere appearances.

A total of 33 bikes will be on display at the stand, representing all models in the 2010 range grouped by category into Sport, Enduro, Tour, Urban and High Performance.

2010 BMW Rider Equipment will also be on show with the latest satnav and Bluetooth technologies as well as the recently launched Navigator IV.

BMW Motorrad are also running an easy-to-enter competition to win hundreds of pounds worth of MSV Track Day vouchers with a total prize fund of £5,000.

Visitors to the stand will be able to collect a copy of the new World of BMW Activity brochure – featuring the full programme of tours, off-road skills and rider training on offer for 2010.

BMW Motorrad and World of BMW’s friendly and knowledgeable staff will also be on the stand to answer any questions, not just on the motorcycles but on the full range of support services such as finance and insurance.

Finally, to win an S 1000 RR supersport bike, show visitors should head for the MCN Stand in Hall 1 and complete one of their competition entry flyers!
