Bus companies hit by delays

The majority of Blue Star buses were reported to be in operation across Southampton.

And First Bus services in the city were running with a revised schedule – the details are posted below.

In Fareham and Gosport First Bus services have been suspended until further notice due to the heavy snowfall. The company said it was reviewing the situation constantly.

No school bus services are running.

In Southampton First Bus services are operating as follows:

1/1A - City to botton of Weston Lane only, not serving Weston Estate, 1A diverted via Victoria Rd not serving Jurd Lake Way.

3B - Portswood to City to Bullar Rd only, not serving Bitterne Park, Midanbury or Townhill Park

4 - normal service

5 - City to Lords Hill Centre via Hill Lane only, not serving Lords Hill North

7 - City to Stoneham Arms, Bassett Green Road, not serving Flowers Estate

8 - Lordshill via Romsey Road to City then to Woolston and Bitterne, not serving Aldermoor, Merry Oak, Midanbury or Townhill Park

8A - Lordshill via Romsey Rd to City then Woolston, Bitterne and Chartwell Green then A27 and Charles Watts Way to Hedge End Superstores only, not serving Aldermoor, West End High St or Hedge End Rail Station.

9/9A - City to Bullar Road only, not serving Harefield or Thornhill

10/10A - Lordshill via Lordshill Way to Shirley - City - Woolston then via Portsmouth Road, Butts Road, Bursledon Rd to Thornghill. Not serving Kathleen Road, Aldermoor Ave, North East Road.

11/12 - Running as normal but not serving Montague Ave or Sullivan Rd (diverted via Bursledon Rd and Botley Rd) and not serving Bitterne Shops due to ice on Lances Hill.

14 - normal service expected

16 - Normal service but not serving Butlocks Heath (diverted via Woolston Rd)

17/17 - City to Millbrook running ok then via Romsey Rd to Lords Hill Centre

21 - expected normal service
