NEVER mind being two of the hottest properties in Hollywood, these two A-list stars could be setting up residence on the Isle of Wight.

Movie stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are thinking of buying a low-key holiday home in Ventnor.

The Twilight stars spent their New Year’s Eve on the Island and were said to be impressed with the relative anonymity they received in the picturesque town.

Now, English actor Pattinson, 23, and LA born Miss Stewart, 19, want to club together to purchase a holiday home.

A fan revealed they had stayed on the Island at new year after spotting them out and asking them for a picture.

They are not the first big names to visit the island town, in the past stars such as Sienna Miller, Kate Moss and comic Russell Brand have all spent time touring the beach resorts.

Isle of Wight County Councillor for Ventnor West, Susan Scoccia, said the stars would be making a good choice by ditching St Tropez and the Bahamas for beach living in Ventnor.

“It’s the eating and drinking capital of the island,” said Cllr Scoccia. “We’ve got some great places to eat and a good music scene.

“I’m sure it would be fantastic. To think that someone who is so popular with young people is thinking of coming to the town is great.

“Ventnor is very unique and quirky, it’s a lovely place and people are starting to appreciate what a nice place it is to live.

“We’ve got a beach and great scenery, I’m not surprised they’re thinking of buying a home here.”

Deputy director for economy, tourism and leisure at Isle of Wight Council, John Metcalfe, said: “There is no doubt that in recent years, the Island has achieved great success in broadening its appeal.
