COFFEE morning: Little Apples pre-school group is hosting a coffee morning at Bramley Village Hall on Wednesday, June 8.

Everyone is welcome to pop along for a tea or coffee and slice of cake between 9.30am and noon.

Representatives from Phoenix Cards and Usbourne Books will be there with a range of fantastic gifts to buy.

LADIES evening: A big thank you also to everyone who came along to Little Apples' Ladies Pamper Evening on May 20 and made the evening such a huge success.

VISITORS from Germany: On May 26, Roland Sochor and his wife came to Bramley in search of the last resting place of Lise Meitner.

They were shown the grave in Bramley Burial Ground, took photos and made notes of the inscription.

Herr Sochor is the headmaster of a Lise-Meitner Schule in Remseck, Germany.

He explained that this is one of many schools having her name as she was such a well-known physicist.

They were pleased and interested with their successful visit to the village.

0-5 GROUP: The Mums and Toddlers group are well settled in at the British Legion Hall and on May 24 held a fundraising morning when the children had a sponsored obstacle course.

They went down slides into tents and through tunnels, and generally had a great time.

At the end, each child received a medal, and refreshments included a lovely chocolate lolly.

The contact for the group, which meets every Tuesday from 10am to noon, is Anne Kellard on 882633.
