IS your Dad a real winner? With Father's Day fast approaching, young readers may find that getting hold of the perfect present for Dad is a daunting task.

So the Daily Echo is giving winning youngsters the chance to win some fantastic Father's Day goodies and have a picture of their dad published in the paper, with our Draw Your Dad competition.

Creative children across Hampshire can show us how special their dad is by sending in his portrait for the Daily Echo Father's Day supplement.

The picture could show him playing a game at home, enjoying a favourite family holiday or playing a sport. You can be as creative as you like.

And you can use anything from bright paints to pastel crayons to make your drawing and wow our judges with the most exciting entry.

There are two age groups - six years and under, and seven to ten-year-olds - with prizes going to the winners of each.

Top prizes for the winning entry include a bike from Asda, a family day out at Beaulieu Motor Museum and a three-course meal at Monty's Brasserie, the Montagu Arms Hotel.

We have seen some terrific entries for the competition already. Daniel Sharp, 5, from Totton has drawn a colourful picture of his dad, Rick, waving a flag at the Matchams racetrack in Ringwood while Ruchira Rana, 7, from Northam, Southampton, shows her dad, Brajesh Singh, standing in front of a giant heart and surrounded by bright flower sequins.

Send your pictures and a completed form, printed on page 17 of today's Daily Echo, to Father's Day Competition, Southern Daily Echo, PO BOX 534, Southampton, SO16 9ZQ. All pictures will be published in the Daily Echo and the winners will be announced in a Father's Day special supplement on Saturday, June 18.

Each picture must be on portrait A4 paper and attached to an original entry form. The closing date for entries is Thursday, June 9th.
