Winchester Deanery Garden is staging an open afternoon this weekend.
The garden in Cathedral Close opens on Saturday, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm
The entrance donation is £2.50 per adult and free to children under 12.
The opening will be the end of an era as the Dean of Winchester, the Very Reverend Michael Till and Mrs Tessa Till retire later this year. When they arrived in 1996, the garden was in need of a face- lift. Over the years they have restored the garden to its present beauty.
The garden stretches over three acres. New shapes have been introduced to get away from strict formality. A number of volunteers have helped Mrs Till with the garden restoration.
