WINCHESTER will host its own version of an antiques roadshow this Saturday.
Members of the museum service will be on hand at the Historic Resources Centre in Hyde Street to look at mysterious finds and try to identify them.
Anyone who has found any interesting artefacts, such as metal objects, pieces of pottery or coins, can get an expert opinion on what the objects are and how old they could be.
Jodi Puls of the city's museum service said: "Each year thousands of archaeological objects or portable antiquities are found by members of the public. At last year's finds day objects brought in by members of the public included Roman coins, fragments of medieval pottery and even a prehistoric stone axe. I can't wait to see what interesting and unusual objects people will bring in this time."
