A TRIATHLON that starts in Hampshire and finishes in neighbouring Wiltshire is expected to attract a top quality field again this year.
Competitors in the Winchester to Salisbury Mitre Tri splash off with a 600-metre swim at the ATR Sir John Moore Barracks in Winchester before heading for Salisbury on a 40k cycle. After transition at Five Rivers Leisure Centre, athletes face a 10k run.
The event, won again last year by Rob Pears of Bath Amphibians Triathlon Club in just under two hours, will be on Sunday, July 10.
A mixture of experienced and novice athletes are expected once more and competitors can take part in the run or cycle races alone for the first time this year. Details from Paul Elderkin on 01962 622465.
