WINCHESTER MP Mark Oaten has retained his job in the Liberal Democrat shadow Cabinet.
Mr Oaten, the home affairs spokesman, held on to the high-profile post in the post-election reshuffle after impressing party leader Charles Kennedy.
He has successfully raised the party's profile on terrorism and crime issues, and spearheaded opposition to controversial ID cards.
Meanwhile, Romsey MP Sandra Gidley has retained her job as spokesman for women and elderly people, heading a brief including care home charges and prescription fees.
New MP Chris Huhne, who represents Eastleigh, has been named Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
