BRUCE Parker birdied the first four holes and never looked back as he marched to victory in the Barton-on-Sea Pro-am, first Hampshire PGA event of the season.

The new county vice captain fired a four-under par 68 to win by one shot from Hockley professional Gary Stubbington.

Parker reached the turn in 32 and moved to six under when he eagled the 13th before he gave two back at the 16th and 17th. Paultons Mark Williamson and Chilworth's Ceb Aby shared third place with two-under-par rounds of 70.

Williamson led his amateur team of Paul Chrismas, Robert Tang and brother Neil to victory in the Pro-Am. For the Williamson brothers and Tang it was the second success of 2005 after their victory in the Hampshire PGA's Algarve Pro-Am in March.
