THE team behind the hugely popular and successful classic bike shows at the Stafford County Showground and the Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show at the Royal Bath & West Showground have just secured the popular Eurojumble at Netley Marsh, near Southampton.

The purchase by Mortons Media Ltd was welcomed by Eurojumble founder John Budgen: "It was the right time for Peal and me to stand down and pass Eurojumble into the safe hands of my friends at Mortons.

"We'll be continuing with our Cheltenham events and we wish the Mortons team every success with the Eurojumble."

The Eurojumble is due to take place as usual at the venue on the A335 between Cadnam and Totton, on September 9-11. Now it is in its 12th year, plans are under way to develop and market the event further to continental visitors to reinforce its 'Euro' theme.

Plans are also under way to secure an adjacent field into which to expand the event, to develop what is already there and to take it to the next level and really make the event bigger and better.

Mortons publishing director Malcolm Wheeler said: "With the extra firepower we can bring to the party, we can not only secure the event for the future but also provide a platform for it to grow."

Extra attractions could be appearing at the south coast show site fairly soon.

Stand space is still available but is selling out fast. Regular bookings that John Budgen made are being honoured where possible.
