THIS summer sees a new and exciting addition to the Winchester Cathedral's events list with a stunning adaptation of Jane Austen's classic Pride and Prejudice.
The most romantic of Austen's novels, will be brought to life on June 29 in the Inner Close of Winchester Cathedral.
In a social whirlwind of balls, dinners and very eligible officers, Elizabeth Bennett and Mr Darcy stand alone as the only sane people - and they hate each other! Or do they?
This vibrant and colourful performance is energetic and hilariously funny. Performed by touring theatre company, Illyria, with only five actors and more than 120 costume changes the audience will be kept on the edge of their seat, or rug!
Illyria's artistic director Oliver Gray, who adapted the novel for Illyria's production, said: "Pride and Prejudice is certainly Austen's sunniest novel." For tickets information contact 01962 857231.
