FOUR of Hampshire's five Tory MPs have been rewarded in Michael Howard's post-election reshuffle.
In his final shake-up before standing down, the Conservative leader has unveiled his team to take on Labour.
Desmond Swayne, MP for New Forest West, retained his role as Mr Howard's Parliamentary Private Secretary. He will be the leader's eyes and ears in the corridors of power.
Julian Lewis (New Forest East) returns to the shadow Defence team, under Michael Ancram. He has previosly served as the Tories' Royal Navy spokesman.
Mark Hoban (Fareham) stays as a shadow Education minister.
Andrew Turner (Isle of Wight) is one of six MPs who are vice-chairmen of the party.
Meanwhile, Gosport MP Peter Viggers continues to answer Parliamentary questions on behalf of the Electoral Commission. This is a non-party-political post.
