HAMPSHIRE picked up their fifth win in their final match of the season at home to Staffordshire.

Boosted by a 5-1 victory for the Ladies' B side, the home side went on to draw both the A matches on the second day of competition.

Hampshire:

Skill League:

Manor BL secured the points from their trip to Imperial, but only after a last game walkover saw Chris Kattern's second win of the night.

Sharon Aftanas and Debbie Smith hit winners for Imperial while Katterns, Tina Bridge and Sue Groves all won twice to secure the Manor points.

Chris Hampton (Bishop's Waltham) hit a finish of 116, Jenny Bailey chalked up a highest score of 123 and D Dibden (Imperial A) nailed a 13-dart 301 leg.

Itchen & District Men:

Kenny Malcolm (Bulls Eye) hit a finish of 116 and a 15-dart leg, Shane Weir (Woolston Social) went out on 125 and Frannie McCormack (Woolston T&L) 100.

D Winkworth (West End) and Kevin Chandler (Woolston T&L) both hit 180s.

Eastleigh Town & Guests:

Obelisk and Sam's took the top two places as the winter season ended with the latest round of matches. Tony Whitcher and Steve Ballard were the only players to hit maximums.

Bishop's Waltham Men:

Sam's have taken the Division One title by four points after their 6-3 victory over Black Dog. Brian Cole (Black Dog) hit a maximum.

Alan Levalle and Stuart Pink (Grapes), D Mills (Hedge End) and Andy Ball (Wheatsheaf) all hit 180s.

Dave Richards hit a 126 finish while John Murray (Vine) threw the top finish of the season - a 164 check-out.

Cobweb Solutions Fareham Men:

A new summer season has begun and winter season runners-up Gordon Arms look to be favourites after opening with a 7-1 win at Wicor A.

John Kirby Memorial Cup draw (Wednesday, May 4): Funtley Social Club v Gordon Arms B, Q Battery v Lock, Stock & Barrel, Seagull v Duke Of Connaught, Admiral Cunningham v LSSC, Vospers Social Club v Limes.

Bitterne Park Hotel Invitation League:

Eight players will contest the men's section House Champions final.

They are Danny Hanley (Bitterne Park), Steve Jannaway (Castle), Derek Martin (Drummond A), Paolo Vetere (Drummond B), Darryl Salmon (Honest Lawyer), David Bullock (Q-World), Dave Fry (South Western Arms) and Tim Webb (Swaythling WMC).

Gary Eccleston topped the lot with his 170 game shot for Honest Lawyer.

Castle's 5-4 win over Drummond B has set up a cup final clash with Drummond A.

Derek Martin (Drummond B) hit a 180 and Chris Parker (Honest Lawyer) shot out on 140.

Eastleigh & Bishopstoke:

Paul Hogan completed his season in Eastleigh with a host of awards, two of which he shared with D Cocks (Chandler's Ford).

Hogan and Cocks collected most league wins (13) and Captains Cup victories (12).

But Hogan was on his own for the quickest leg after hitting three 13-darters. He also shot the most maximums (11).

Charlie Curnow won the highest checkout with 156.

In Division 2, D Bennett (Imperial) and M Seymour (Cricketers) collected 11 wins while G Cummings (Leigh) and P Bentley (Chamberlayne) both had eight wins to share the Captains Cup.

Andy Portelli's 15-darter was the quickest and Geoff Cummings (Leigh) hit the top finish of 130.

D Bennett (Imperial), P Badkin (Foresters B) and K Barnacle (Comrades A) all hit two maximums.

Hampshire Open:

It may not be too late to take part in the country's most popular county open.

Organisers of the Daily Echo Hampshire Open say a few places remain for the popular competition taking place at Southampton's Novotel a week today.

Pub and club standard players and stars of the televised game will share the same oche on May 7 to battle for the £1,000 top prize.
