SOUTHAMPTON'S Martin Le Mesurier missed the halfway cut in the Peugeot Open at the El Prat Club in Barcelona, making his long-awaited comeback on the European Challenge Tour.

The Brokenhurst Manor clubman had a chance of making the last two days after going through 27 holes in three over par, but he fell away after dropping four more shots through the back nine for a seven-over total.

Justin Rose, one under overnight, picked up another shot to move into a tie for 21st place in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
