MEMBERS of Southampton Diving Academy proved their dominance in Hampshire when they took all the available medals at every level of competition in the county springboard events held at the Quays.

First to dive were the intermediate squad, who took eight gold, eight silver and six bronze medals between them. In addition there were two entrants below the minimum age of entry who dived as guests. They would have taken a gold and bronze medal had they been old enough to qualify.

Diving particularly well was Ciaran Allen, 10, who took the gold in a highly-competitive field in the boys' 10/11 years category.

The competition was also an opportunity for divers to qualify to compete at the National Intermediate Championships to be held in Plymouth. Thirteen divers achieved the standard set and will represent the club at the end of April.
