WELSH rockers The Super Furry Animals have just been announced as the main Saturday headline act at the September Bestival music festival on the Isle of Wight.
The event takes place at Newport's Robin Hill Country Park from September 9 to 11 and also features Soulwax, British Sea Power, Fabio and Grooverider and the legendary raconteur Howard Marx, who will be guesting as a DJ.
The Super Furry Animals are one of the country's biggest and most creative bands.
They precede their headline slot at the Bestival with the release of a new album.
Local musicians and DJs on the Island are also being given the chance to play at the festival through a talent competition in July at the Ryde Theatre.
The competition is open to anyone from, or living on the Isle of Wight.
