ULTIMATE romantic ballet Giselle will be performed by the English National Ballet at The Mayflower in Southampton from Tuesday, March 15.

Mary Keaping's traditional production has been praised for providing an ideal introduction to the beautiful world of ballet for youngsters and newcomers, but this show will also be a treat for more seasoned ballet fans.

Giselle tells the enchanting and mysterious tale of a misty forest on the edge of an Alpine village, where restless spirits of abandoned brides force men to dance to their death to wreak their revenge.

But the ghost of Giselle is different, and she desperately tries to prevent the love of her life, Albrecht, from meeting this tragic fate.

The ballet can be seen at The Mayflower until Saturday, March 19.

Tickets from £12.50. Box office: 023 8071 1811.
