SAINTS have set-up a mouth-watering FA Cup quarter-final with holders Manchester United, but boss Harry Redknapp last night warned his players: "Concentrate on the league."

With Saints some four points adrift of safety, Redknapp wants nothing to stand in the way of preparations for Saturday's vital Premiership clash at home to Tottenham.

Two goals from Peter Crouch and one from Kevin Phillips helped Saints ease to a 3-1 victory over a spirited Brentford side in last night's fifth-round replay.

But Redknapp said: "Tottenham is a massive game for us. That is the key.

"If we can get a result then we can play Man United really relaxed and have a go at it. Why not cause a Cup upset? It's happened before.

"We are playing well. There is a good feeling about the place.

"I can't tell you the difference in the feeling around the place to how it was when I arrived and that's important. We've been playing excellent. We've been terrific.

"It was important not to lose last night. You don't want to go out to a lower division club because the confidence could have drained. But we've had one defeat in eight now so we are in good form.

"We have got Man United, but we will worry about that after the Tottenham game."

The Manchester United FA Cup quarter-final will take place at St Mary's on the weekend of March 12-13.

Last night, it was the quality of Crouch and Phillips that proved decisive with Brentford creating chances and competing evenly with Saints until fairly late on.

Redknapp is delighted with the form of his strikers.

He said: "I felt we had goals in us and always felt we could score.

"We got the ball down and tried to play in the second-half, it wasn't easy on that surface but we did that in the end and it was a great result.

"I gave Camara a rest but when he came on he was dynamite and did some unbelievable things. He's a top player.

"Crouch has been excellent and Kevin Phillips showed what a good lad he is.

"We are lucky in the forward positions, I've got four very good front people with Brett Ormerod as well."

Mikael Nilsson was given a chance on the right of midfield, but Paul Telfer staked his claim to take David Prutton's currently vacant midfield place alongside the first-choice trio of Graeme Le Saux, Jamie Redknapp and Nigel Quashie.

"Paul Telfer was outstanding, he was superb," said Redknapp.

"Matt Oakley did a good job in the second-half. I'm hoping Le Saux will be okay, Jamie will be fit and Quashie will be fit. I've got a team in my mind for Saturday."

Redknapp also admitted he gambled on the defence somewhat last night, resting centre-back Claus Lundekvam and bringing on-loan Calum Davenport back into the team alongside Andreas Jakobsson.

"I just felt Claus had played a lot of games, he's not getting younger and Saturday would be five games in 14 days, so I gave him a rest," he added.
