The Andover Golf Club Past Captain's team was keen to build on their 4-1 lead over the Alton Past Captain's when the teams met for their annual fixture at Alton recently.
Team captain Bryon Tarrant had gained an excellent victory at the start of his two-year term in office at Andover last year and he was hopeful of doing the double, which is a feat only achieved by Roger Crook so far.
