SOLENT Stars' men have two unbeaten records to preserve this weekend while the women are aiming for three wins out of three.

The men's first team travel to table-topping Worcester Wolves tonight (University College, Worcester, 7pm), looking for their second National Trophy success of the campaign.

Worcester currently head the pool placings courtesy of two wins over Coventry Crusaders. The Midlanders triumphed by a modest seven-point margin in the first game, but then crushed the Crusaders by 25 points in the rematch.

So far Solent have just a six-point Trophy win over Crusaders to their credit, but last week's convincing 38-point National Cup success over Taunton Tigers will have lifted confidence in the squad.

The only fitness doubt this week centres around guard Ollie Marsh, who has a back problem.

Solent's newly-launched second-string men are at 'home' this afternoon in league combat against TH London Eagles.

Because of Fleming Park's unavailability, the game has been switched to Portsmouth Grammar School (4pm).

Both teams scored big wins in their opening matches last weekend. Solent travelled to Brixton and won 95-56 to record the club's first ever second team victory.

Andy Aung - all 6ft 6in of him - joins the squad, as do Tomasz Sosna and Mike Peel, who had first-team experience with Solent last season.

Coach Mick Byrne has no injury worries to report and is in the enviable position of having 17 registered players to choose from.
