There were signs that Wyke Down Rovers are adjusting to life in Division 2 as they were unlucky to lose 4-3 at home to Vernham Dean who were indebted to a superb hat-trick from winger Danny Parsons.

Vernham were quick to stamp their authority on the game and were 2-0 up after 20 minutes from an own goal and close range follow up from Parsons from a free kick.

However this sparked Wyke Down into action as they produced some of their best football of the season. Ben Brady scored from a penalty followed by an equaliser from Keith Holland.
