She can turn a tear into a smile, she makes her grandchildren feel like winners everyday and says she has done it all for love.
Meet Kathleen Hayward from Byng Walk, Andover's winner in the South East regional grandparent of the year award.
The annual Age Concern awards have just been whittled down to nine regional finalists, who will be wined and dined at a ceremony in London for the final showdown on 23 September.
Her 16-year-old grand-daughter Leigh-Ann, thinks her gran should win because she always puts her family before herself.
