KENNET District Council has been accused of trying to con people into believing it was disposing of green waste in an environmentally friendly way when it does nothing of the sort.
Tidworth Parish Council chairman, Steve Dagger, said: "They sell green sacks for green waste but there is no system for collecting the waste.
"It is a con that makes then look like they are doing something about it - we should have a bit of honesty from them."
He had seen the green sacks simply thrown into the back of the ordinary waste collection lorry to be taken to a landfill site.
