EVER WONDERED what your teenage kids would get up to if you left them home alone?

Well, one brave Southampton family decided to see what would happen when their 17-year-old son invited a few mates around while his parents were away.

Unlike most families, Linda De Wolf, 39, and husband Chris, 54, could check out exactly what happened because they had invited Sky TV to place hidden cameras and microphones throughout their Wilton Road home in Shirley.

The De Wolfs had agreed to take part in a pilot show called Teenage Kicks, which airs tonight at 9pm.

Their son Jack had no idea he was being set up by his parents and was unaware of the subterfuge involved in placing 20 cameras around the home.

"I didn't have a clue what was happening and when I eventually found out I was genuinely shocked," said Jack, who is studying for his A-levels at Barton Peverill College.

"I just kept asking: 'Why have you done this to me?' and then I was worried about what I had said during the last 24 hours."

Jack's friends Barnaby Daniels, 18, and Steve Henderson, 19, were in on the scam.

Linda and Chris left the lads at home while they travelled to Nottingham to sort out student accommodation for their eldest daughter, Emilia, 18.

"It might seem a bit mean to set him up like this but we thought it would be a fun experience for him - and Sky promised us they would not make him look foolish," said mother-of-five Linda.

During the eventful 24 hours, Jack was stitched up with a number of dilemmas.

He had to deal with an amorous visitor, a coach-load of Viking dancers and a model scout who persuaded Jack to dress up in a frock for a fashion shoot.

Luckily, Jack has no hard feelings about the experience as the fee for the pilot show paid for his first car.
