Whitchurch Utd 3 Alresford Town 2 Whitchurch entertained local rivals Alresford Town in their first fixture of the season in the Sydenhams Wessex League Division Two.
The game started evenly with both sides settling down but United took the lead in the sixth minute when a defensive mix up allowed Chris Iddles in to to score.
It didn't take long for Alresford to equalise however when Phil Anderson was fouled inside the box he scored from the spot.
