THE Yamaha FZ6 Fazer is all new - new frame, new R6 motor, new looks.
Motor Cycle News magazine pitched the FZ6 against its main rivals in an exhaustive test and reckons "the Fazer has come back cleaner, leaner... and better than any rival.
"The Fazer engine is very strong at the top end of its 14,000 rpm rev range and the fairing, while big, does its job of cutting through the air. Despite its rather sporty tendencies, the Fazer's suspension still manages to deal with rougher sections of tarmac without pitching the rider out of the seat - or upsetting the bike. It rolls into turns precisely and ploughs on regardless of road surface.
"The FZ6's screaming 88bhp output pushed it to the front of the pack and was never topped."
