THE Band of the 6th Fleet of the US Navy will make a rare appearance in the UK to bring a taste of Americana to the Grand Military Tattoo at Fort Nelson near Fareham next month.
Stationed in Naples in Italy, the band rarely performs in the UK. It is flying in especially for this performance.
The band play an exciting mix of musical styles from jazz and boogie-woogie to the more traditional and everything in between.
The Tattoo, on September 4, also promises thrilling parachute displays, massed bands, bagpipes, highland dancing and the Victorian Horse Artillery.
The evening performance, starting at 7.30pm, ends with an explosive finale.
