A BAND from Netley has won a place in the finals of a national "battle of the bands" contest.
Teenage four-piece Rival Joustas have come first in local heats of the Emergenza competition and will take their place in the national final of the competition at the London Astoria on Sunday, July 25.
All aged just 16 or 17 and still studying for their
A-levels, Rival Joustas have earned a great reputation as a live act since they formed less than two years ago.
They have gigged at venues including The Joiners, Southampton and Winchester's Railway Inn.
