FORMER Challenge Tour winner Rob Edwards heads the Hampshire challenge in the Open Golf Championship regional qualifying round at Hindhead next Monday.
The Lee-on-the-Solent professional will be aiming to make it to the final qualifying rounds at Troon's sister courses on July 12, where golfers at four venues will be chasing just a dozen places in the championship proper.
Newly crowned Hampshire amateur champion Mark Thistleton is also in action at Hindhead along with Hampshire PGA captain Guy Shoesmith and popular Cams Hall professional Jason Neve.
