REGULAR matchman James Hillier celebrated his newfound sponsorship from the Tackle Emporium, Romsey with a win in the first round of the Andover AC Evening League, at Foxcotte Park.
An encouraging 15 anglers fished the 2.5 hour match with Charlie Wernham (CW Services), despite losing a sizable carp at the net, securing second place with 11lb.
In third was Les Thirlaway, with 9lb 2oz, whose brother John is in Winchester Hospital awaiting surgery and to whom everyone sends their best wishes and hopes for his safe return.
